Hello! My name is Christine and I have been a Carer for about 12 years in Bundaberg Qld.This photo is of eight baby Magpies, yes true!! some are under the bigger ones. At one stage last month, I was looking after 17, plus 5 Tawny Frogmouths.
They have all been released at my place but I still feed them once a day. This is called soft release. Just to set them free would be certain death. They all find their own territory, when they are ready or are chased away by the resident Magpies, who have lived here for many years. I have one at present very thin and weak. I feed him every 2 hours small amounts of meat dipped in Wombaroo Insectivore with water added. That is just a few of my birds in care. Till next time. Christine
